Art Deco Venetian Buffet Bar – Gilded and Bevelled Glass – 1940s

Venetian-style buffet bar from the 1940s, fully dressed in bevelled glass panels and eglomisé glass. The exterior faces feature engraved and painted decorations in white on smoked mirror: arabesques, star-shaped floral patterns, and a central scene depicting two figures in period costume in a landscape with a palm tree, reminiscent of 18th-century Venetian painting. The piece rests on four tapered legs covered in bevelled mirror, secured with decorative bronze nails. The interior reveals a natural wood structure, glass shelves supported by chrome rods, and a chrome metal grid back, typical of display bars. There is slight wear and localized foxing on some original glass panels. The top tray is new, and the rear foot panels have been replaced by the seller's glassworks.
