Very beautiful japanese service consisting of 6 cobalt blue dessert plates in japanese porcelain with a decoration of 3 phoenix birds looking over their left shoulders. They also feature the traditional motif of kiku (chrysanthemum flower in the center) and kiri (paulownia plants) with vines and leaves surrounding phoenix birds. The outlines feature clouds overlooking stylized mountains. They are stamped "made in japan" and are inspired by the production of the 1920s and 1930s by tashiro shoten.
