Maison Lecan presents this rare bookshelf straight from Brazil from the 1950s. An architectural piece par excellence, it wonderfully illustrates the boldness and refinement of mid-20th century South American design, playing on striking contrasts. Architectural lines and noble essence: This support furniture stands out for its both strict and warm appearance. Made from a noble tropical wood, whose tight and luminous grain evokes the Imbuia widely used by Brazilian designers of the time. The craftsmanship is particularly meticulous, highlighted by the elegant solid wood latch that seals the lower doors. The uniqueness of this bookshelf lies in its two-tone finish. The interior of the glazed section, as well as its upper shelf, reveal a deep carmine lacquer. This unexpected touch of colour enhances the honeyed tones of the wood and offers a spectacular showcase for your collectible pieces. Designed to highlight beautiful objects, the upper section features glazed sides and sliding glass doors that allow light to circulate perfectly. The lower section, closed by two wooden doors, provides a beautiful discreet storage space. A centrepiece for an interior in search of exclusivity. Reference LDP: 20251015-001.
