Buffet 2 bodies antique renovated | Auguste

Here is Auguste! Auguste is a vintage two-body sideboard, carefully sourced and then completely renovated in my workshop, Les Trésors de Clem. Behind its characterful appearance lies a true family piece, an antique furniture item that has withstood the test of time and has now found new life thanks to a renovation that respects its history. It has undergone complete sanding, meticulous cleaning, and a preventive and curative treatment with Xylophène, ensuring a healthy, durable piece ready to last for many more years. I chose to enhance it with the colour Vert de Terre No. 234 from Farrow & Ball, a soft, natural, and timeless shade that perfectly highlights its lines and original details. A delicate patina enriches the whole and adds depth and authenticity. The old drawer knobs have been replaced with lovely shell handles, adding more character while respecting the spirit of the piece. Inside, the wood has been intentionally kept in its natural state. This contrast between the patinated exterior and the raw interior highlights the charm of this antique piece while making it easier to maintain on a daily basis. All the shelves are original, true witnesses to its history. The lower part closes with its original wooden latch, a rare and charming detail that contributes to the authenticity of the piece. The whole has been protected with a traditional colourless wax, revealing the nuances of the patina and offering lasting protection for everyday use. A care guide is provided with every furniture purchase from Les Trésors de Clem. With its numerous storage spaces, Auguste will naturally find its place in a kitchen, dining room, hallway, or even in a shop with a flea market, chic country, or family home spirit.
