Luminaire Joe Armitage - Milan 2017. Dimensions: approximately 170 X 60 cm. Walnut and brass. The story of these luminaires began in 1952 in India, when British architect Edward Armitage envisioned a floor lamp with sculptural lines, made from local materials and reclaimed elements. Nearly 70 years later, his grandson, designer Joe Armitage, brings this family design back to life by launching a collection of luminaires inspired by this historic creation in 2021. Combining wood, brass, and translucent diffusers, these two models charm with their airy silhouettes, geometric bases, and remarkable balance between function and sculpture. Two original luminaires signed by Joe Armitage, witnesses to an exceptional creative heritage, bridging 1950s architecture and contemporary design.
