Very large vintage ceramic carafe in white glazed with blue floral decoration.

Very large white glazed ceramic jug, probably from the second half of the 20th century. It has a rounded, bulbous shape with a narrow neck, a pronounced spout, and a large curved handle. The surface is decorated with a painted design in dark blue and brown tones, featuring large stylised flowers, swirling plant motifs, and small graphic elements around the neck. The free brushwork, variations in colour application, and slight irregularities in the glaze suggest a handmade production. The unglazed base reveals a light clay and traces of shaping. This type of floral decoration is part of a long European and Mediterranean tradition of painted utilitarian ceramics, widely reinterpreted by artisan workshops during the 20th century; there is no signature or identifiable marking. Originally intended for utilitarian use, this jug can now be used as a carafe, vase, or decorative object.
