Teak bedside table with two drawers. Scandinavian production, 1960s. Scandinavian bedside table produced during the 1960s. The character of the piece is defined by the quality of its craftsmanship rather than the use of decorative elements. The raised gallery edge, recessed turned wooden drawer pulls and slender base create a restrained composition in which craftsmanship becomes an integral part of the form. The drawers, assembled with exposed dovetail joints, demonstrate the careful construction that characterised much of Scandinavian furniture production during the period. Good condition.
