Danish oak coffee or side table, 1960s. This solid oak coffee or side table from Denmark, crafted in the 1960s, reflects excellent craftsmanship and timeless design. The table features two extendable leaves, allowing it to adapt to different needs. Its size adjusts from 62 cm to 82 cm, and up to 102 cm with both side flaps extended. The tapered legs, with fine carved details, draw inspiration from Henning Kjærnulf’s brutalist design language—elegant yet understated. The table’s natural oak surface has developed a warm patina over decades of use, adding depth and character. Minor marks or scratches may be present, serving as part of its authentic history. The wood has been cleaned thoroughly and dried carefully, it does not have any smell or dirt. It has been given natural clear oil, to keep it in good shape towards stains and sun. Handmade by a Danish carpenter in the 1960s/70s, the piece remains in good vintage condition—sturdy, functional, and full of charm. Versatile enough to be used as a coffee table or sideboard, it embodies a perfect balance of practicality and Scandinavian elegance.
