Art deco side table in Paquebot style, French, 1930s

Beautiful art deco side table from the 1930s in the Paquebot style. A common and recognizable style in both art deco furniture and architecture. The layering and graceful rounded corners are characteristic of this style, both asymmetrical and symmetrical as in this table. Various wood veneers are used in this table: walnut veneer in the frame and teak and birch veneer in the tops. This, combined with chrome bars under the top and in the base, makes it a beautifully and chicly styled whole. Dimensions: Height 62.5 cm, Width 79 cm, Depth 55.5 cm. Top surface LxW 60x46 cm.
