Mahogany console planter

A Restoration period mahogany and mahogany veneer console table topped with Belgian granite. The upper section, with its cyma molding, conceals a planter with a zinc liner. The central shelf also serves as a side table. The front uprights, shaped like croziers, are carved with stylized rosettes and palmettes and terminate in claw feet. The rear uprights feature pilasters adorned with bronze mounts. The base has a plinth, a mark of quality. Note the later bronze mounts throughout the console and the newly restored liner.
