Art Nouveau Vase in Flamed Glazed Stoneware — Pierrefonds. An elongated and sinuous piece characteristic of Art Nouveau, made of glazed stoneware from the Faïencerie Héraldique de Pierrefonds (Oise, founded in 1903 by Count Hallez d'Arros). The trumpet neck, highlighted by relief ribs forming a stylised almond-shaped plant motif (whip-like spirit), flares out at the top into an asymmetrical corolla. It extends into a curved body that widens into a crescent-shaped open base, pierced with circular holes — a system designed to keep the stems of a bouquet upright while retaining water in the neck. The glaze features the typical colour gradation of Pierrefonds production: a satin bronze/ochre background in the upper part, transitioning to deep blue drips and speckles on the neck and base, with the iridescence and slight crystallisations characteristic of this manufacturer.
