Louis waem was part of this group of artists, alongside fernande massart, georges destrebecq, rené lemaigre, pierre monnaie, andré hupet, irène zacq and geneviève noé. The group achieved international renown through exhibitions in new york, amsterdam, cairo, milan, and lisbon, as well as a visit to mons by rainier iii, sovereign prince of monaco, in 1947.
