Vintage high chest of drawers design circa 1950. Handcrafted, this chest is made of wood with an oak veneer finish and rests on tapered legs. It features five clean and functional drawers offering ample storage space, with their beautiful original brass handles (see photos). The bottom drawer has a tiny resistance, so it should be slid gently. Drawer dimensions: W: 68 cm X D: 35 cm X H: 12 cm. The piece is in good original condition and vintage state. It has been partially restored, just enough to preserve its integrity. The old varnish has been removed, and it has been oiled and waxed with natural beeswax. Some minor touch-ups/repairs have been made to the veneer of the fourth drawer (see photo) and on the lower parts of the side panels. Naturally, for a piece of this age, it shows some signs of use and wear on the structure, the edges of the top, the legs, and the drawers, a natural patina, as well as very slight areas of discolouration. Some small areas of veneer are missing on the lower edge of the panels (see enlarged photos), at the corners of some drawers (see photos), on the upper inner edges of the drawers (see photos), and on the base, with an old touch-up near the left leg (see photos). This does not affect its functionality or aesthetics. There are some fine cracks due to age on the veneers of the edges of the side panels. The piece is heavy and sturdy. This authentic piece will attract all eyes whether in a bedroom, an entrance, or for vintage decoration. All photos were taken in natural outdoor light; colours may therefore vary depending on brightness, angle, and viewpoint.
