Art Deco chest of drawers, raw oak, renovated 1940.
Small Art Deco chest of drawers in natural oak – 5 drawers Charming small Art Deco chest of drawers in oak veneer, featuring simple and geometric lines, enhanced by its sculpted flute legs, which are particularly characteristic of its style. Fully renovated in my workshop, it has regained the beauty of its natural oak and pronounced grain. The wood has been protected with a clear matte oil, preserving its raw and warm appearance. It has five drawers that slide easily, all equipped with their original round aluminum knobs. The small detail that makes all the difference: each drawer bottom has been carefully lined with a black and white geometric patterned fabric inspired by Art Deco. A nice contrast with the warmth of the oak, adding a graphic and refined touch to the interior of the piece. With its compact dimensions, this small chest of drawers will easily find its place in a bedroom as a bedside table, in an entryway, a child's room, or as an accent piece in a living room. Dimensions: - Width: 50 cm - Depth: 33 cm - Height: 70 cm - Height of legs: 8 cm - Interior dimensions of drawers: L43 × D24 × H10 cm Condition and finishes: Renovated antique furniture, finished with clear matte oil. The five drawers slide easily and their bottoms are lined with fabric. Please note some small veneer chips as well as old woodworm holes at the back and underneath the piece (see photographs). These marks of time do not detract from its charm. Each piece of furniture is sourced, selected, and renovated with care in my workshop. I have been working alone for nearly 10 years and have renovated nearly 1,000 pieces of furniture, with a particular specialization in antique wardrobes.
