The Snäcka table lamp, designed by Anna-Lisa Thomson for Upsala-Ekeby in the 1940s, exemplifies Swedish mid-century ceramic artistry. Crafted from earthenware with a matte white glaze, it features a relief pattern of diagonal seashell motifs wrapping around its curved body. Unglazed portions create a striking contrast, emphasizing the intricate details. Part of the Snäcka series introduced in 1944, this lamp reflects Upsala-Ekeby's postwar commitment to high-quality design. The series originated from the Expo collection designed for the Paris Exhibition in 1937. This lamp bears the stamp "A.L.T. Ekeby 18, " confirming its authenticity. The lampshade is not included but can be provided upon request, subject to shipping costs. Dimensions: Height 11.82 in (30 cm), Diameter 5.71 in (14.5 cm). Condition: Good, with wear consistent with age and use. Glue remnants from mounting are not visible when the lampshade is on.
