Marais Sandstone Candle Holder

This slightly pyrite stoneware candle holder, combining linen and brown enamel, is stamped grès du marais 1960/70 (hollow stamp on the back). You can almost see the potter's spiraling wheel from its wide cup to the bobèche. It is a hand-held candle holder with a charming ear-shaped handle. Beautiful craftsmanship of this vintage piece which can also be transformed into a vase for dried flowers or an offbeat pocket emptier. Good condition, diameter 15 cm - height 13 cm.
