A handsome and well-proportioned Swedish brass table lamp from the 1970s, made by Ivars Armatur AB and carrying its original label on the base confirming model number 169.8.The design is classical with a stepped, domed circular base in darkened brass rises to a slender stem composed of six graduating ovoid forms, each one turned and separated by narrow collars, alternating between a warm antique gold tone and a deeper, cooler brown-bronze finish. The interplay between the two tones gives the lamp a richness and depth that photographs struggle to fully capture. The overall silhouette has something of the bobbin candlestick tradition about it — a form with deep roots in European decorative metalwork — reinterpreted here with the restrained elegance typical of quality Swedish manufacturing of the period.The lamp is in good vintage condition.
