Elegant original Czechoslovak pendant lamp dating from around 1970, designed in the distinctive vocabulary of mid-century modern and space age lighting of Central Europe. The lamp features a sculptural, rounded opaline glass shade with a clean geometric outline, complemented by warm brass fittings and a refined multi-chain suspension. The contrast between the bright white glass and brass creates a sophisticated yet understated appearance, characteristic of Czechoslovak modernist interiors of the 1970s. Its generous proportions and softly diffused glass make it particularly suitable as a pendant lamp above a dining table, in a living room, bedroom, hallway, or a carefully curated modernist interior. The lamp remains in good original vintage condition, with signs of age and use consistent with its period. It has been preserved with its original character rather than being meticulously restored.
