Octagonal side table with a door, made of sycamore and rosewood veneer, featuring a highly structured geometric design. The top forms a radiating star in marquetry, with points converging at the centre, while this motif extends on the sides with an alternation of contrasting panels. The structure, faceted and rhythmically defined by regular cut surfaces, is highlighted by a glossy varnish finish. The interior opens to a storage space with two shelves, creating three levels. The door, discreetly integrated into the volume, echoes the overall design of the piece and is fitted with a small tone-on-tone truncated pyramid-shaped knob, with subtly recessed hardware. Postmodern work in the Art Deco spirit, possibly from the 1980s–1990s. The piece is in perfect condition and shows no veneer jumps.
