1900s Arts and Crafts style tapered wingback armchair

A magnificent spindle wood wingback armchair, dating from 1900 in France. This unusual armchair features an arched headrest and arms, a spindle back support and side panels, and a seat and wingbacks upholstered in olive green velvet. Elegant in its simplicity, this is a fine example of French workmanship in the Arts and Crafts style. The armchair is in very good condition, at some point in the armchair's life, the ends of both armrests have had pieces of oak spliced into them but very nicely done and only add to the beauty of this magnificent armchair. A delight.
