Beautiful designer ceiling lamp made in Italy. Designed by Pia Guidetti Grippa in the 1960s and produced by LUMI Milano in the following years. Pia Guidetti Crippa studied at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan and graduated in 1967. After that, she dedicated herself to furniture and lighting design, collaborating with the company Lumi, founded by Carlo Antonio Crippa in Milan in 1944. For thirty years, she created lighting designs for Lumia. Her lamps are known for their scenic qualities and functional design, with rounded lines that give them a unique appearance. LUMI has been included in the important catalogue "Italian Design Companies: 1950-2000" by Giuliana Gramigni, meaning it is part of the 127 famous names representing our "made in Italy" style and taste. The lamp bears the original manufacturer's label and is in very good vintage condition. Dimensions: Width: 32 cm / 12.6 inches, Height: 12 cm / 4.72 inches. The lamp requires three European E14 bulbs and is compatible with the American E12 socket. It works with standard, LED, or halogen bulbs, 220V for Europe and 110V for the USA.
