Barovier&Toso Murano "Cordonato d'Oro" Art Glass Bowl and Rare Glass Tamper

A superb mid-century Murano art glass bowl or ashtray, attributed to the prestigious Barovier&Toso workshop in Venice, circa 1950-1960. This exquisite piece features a vibrant ruby red interior, surrounded by a thick layer of clear glass heavily infused with 24kt gold leaf. The exterior is crafted using the famous "Cordonato d'Oro" technique, which creates a distinctive rope-like textured relief. This quality is further enhanced by the "Brilliante" method, which produces controlled and rhythmic air bubbles that brilliantly capture and reflect light. Special note: This set is exceptionally rare as it includes the original glass tamper (Gluttöter). While the bowls are very interesting in their own right, finding a bowl with its original hand-blown glass accessory still intact is a true rarity for serious collectors of Italian art glass.
