A pair of armchairs designed and produced by Matteo Grassi in Italy around 1970. The chairs rest on a cantilevered structure made of chrome-plated steel tubing, designed in a continuous line without rear legs. The seat and backrest are made of thick black leather, taut and unpadded, with wide armrests integrated into the base. The design highlights the simplicity of the structure and the dialogue between leather and steel, characteristics of modernist Italian furniture from this period. The set shows a visible patina of use on the leather, with some marks and slight superficial wear, consistent with age and use. Edition: Matteo Grassi, Italy.
