Decorative ice bucket "Pineapple" — attributed to Maison Jansen, France, here.

Masterpiece of decorative table silverware, this ice bucket adopts the iconic silhouette of the pineapple. Crafted from high-quality solid brass, it stands out with a remarkable and rare two-tone geometric decoration that has a strong visual impact. Its sculptural presence perfectly embodies the Hollywood Regency aesthetic of the 1960s–1970s. The perfectly spherical body is entirely rhythmically adorned with a pattern of engraved diamonds, whose proportions subtly evolve to follow the natural curvature of the fruit. A contrasting grey patina skillfully highlights the grooves, giving this piece a striking relief under light. The upper foliage majestically crowns the object with a sophisticated design of three rows of overlapping and removable brass leaves. The concealed assembly demonstrates total technical excellence: a threaded rod integrated into the top leaf passes through the crown to screw directly and invisibly into the lid. No nuts are visible, and the receptacle features an ideally rounded bottom with no visible welds. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The brass has developed a superb original golden patina, matured over time, which preserves all its brilliance. The shades of the two-tone patina are perfectly stabilized. Founded in Paris in 1880, Maison Jansen was one of the great international decoration houses, known for its creations blending French classicism and modernism. This model fully fits into this decorative universe. Maison Jansen did not sign its small objects; this example is not signed.
