Pair of "Barwa" deck chairs by John Waldheim and Edgar Bartolucci 1950

Pair of "Barwa" sun loungers by American designers John Waldheim and Edgar Bartolucci. 1950s. H: 100 W: 50 D: 165cm. Made of black lacquered tubular metal and orange and green deckchair fabric. The base is designed so that there are two possible positions when lying down (see side views). The seats have been redone as originally with very durable deckchair fabric (Latim). I have one of the original fabrics in orange/brick colour. The metal structure has been left in its current state because it is beautiful as it is.
