Blue cast iron Japanese teapot Arare – Decoration & collection

Black cast iron teapot in traditional Japanese style, featuring the famous relief pattern known as "arare" (hailstone bumps). With its timeless design and beautiful patina, it will add a superb graphic, vintage, or minimalist touch. No brand or provenance indicated. Overall aesthetic condition is good. The navy blue cast iron is well preserved, and the pattern is perfectly defined. Note a slight surface wear from use (small chip in the patina on the rim, invisible once the lid is placed) and wear on the handle near the spout. The original interior enamel shows cracks and signs of advanced oxidation (visible rust spots in the photos). Recommended use: Due to its internal oxidation, this teapot is sold primarily for decorative purposes, a restoration project, or to serve as a charming little vase for dried cherry blossom branches.
