Magnificent large bar counter dating from the late 19th or early 20th century, Belle Époque period (circa 1900). This type of furniture once graced grand Parisian cafés, brasseries, and private mansions, symbolizing a refined and convivial art of living. This monumental 4.10-meter-long bar combines ornamental elegance with professional sturdiness. Its full zinc top, with its authentic patina, is reminiscent of traditional French bistro counters. Features: Period: circa 1900. Style: Belle Époque / French bistro. Materials: Solid wood (probably mahogany or walnut), inlaid decoration of flowers, garlands, and cherubs – gilded brass ornamentation. Top: Original solid zinc, natural patina. Dimensions: Length: 410 cm - Depth: 90 cm - Height: approximately 110 cm. Back of the bar: Wooden structure with worktop, double sink, and open storage. Decorative details: The front of the bar is a true work of cabinetmaking: Carved and inlaid panels depicting flower vases and cherubs in the 18th century style, Fluted columns enhanced with gilded capitals, Curved base and refined moldings. A harmonious ensemble that exudes the nobility of period furniture. Condition: Very good overall condition, considering its age. The zinc top has a refined patina of use, with no warping.
