Brown unglazed stoneware grease pot

Ancient brown glazed stoneware pot with two small side handles. French handcrafted work from the first half of the 20th century, typical of the utilitarian pottery production from the centre or south-west of France. Curved shape with a slightly flared neck and rounded rim, interior coated with glaze, exterior glazed in a beautiful warm brown. This type of pot was used for food preservation (fat, rillettes, jams or condiments). Height: 16 cm. Width with handles: 18 cm. Diameter: 14 cm. Beautiful patina and signs of regular use, testifying to its authenticity.
