Lithograph by Henri Rivière Aspects of Nature - The Forest

This lithograph “Les Aspects de la Nature - La Forêt” is signed Henri Rivière at the bottom right. The work is authentic and old. For the condition, note in the margin small tears (0.5 cm), traces of folds, small stains and dirt, slightly dog-eared corners, small ink lines. The lithograph is very fresh in color, once framed most of the defects will be barely visible. Sold as presented. Henri Rivière (1864-1951) is a French painter, engraver and illustrator. He began his career with drawing then with intaglio engraving and specifically etching in 1882. At the same time he began a career as a director and scenographer, in 1886, of the shadow theater at the Cabaret du Chat Noir, shows that he improved by creating very innovative color sets. He then devoted himself exclusively to painting and engraving and established himself in the history of etching, printmaking, woodcuts, lithography and watercolor (he painted around a thousand watercolors).
