Very beautiful jar, demijohn, in the shape of a large, bulging bottle with a single handle, in Normandy stoneware (Calvados), old 1920-1930, in hand-turned, hand-enameled stoneware, elegant neck with a simple handle, enamel on these areas (on one side), on the front and back, in wine-red, burgundy tones, with a shiny, silvery sheen. One side is rougher, letting the grey of the stoneware show through, the other is darker, duller brown/black. Beautiful nuances. Approximately 30cm in total height, 15cm in maximum diameter, narrower foot, slightly flattened sides. Very good condition considering its age, some imperfections and marks of time, relatively discreet, harmonious whole, beautiful decorative object. Approximately 1, 500kg.
