Scandinavian armchair - 1970s brutalist

Authentic brutalist style armchair/chaise longue from the 1970s, characterised by its robust geometric structure in solid wood. This timeless piece has been fully restored and reimagined by me to give it a distinctly modern and pop look: • Structure: The wooden frame has been completely restored and repainted in a vibrant red that beautifully highlights its graphic lines. • Comfort & Seating: The original seat has been retained but fully reupholstered for optimal comfort (the internal seat cushions, which were damaged when I acquired the chair, have been completely reinforced). The seat fabric is intact and in very good condition. • Upholstery: The chair now features a new tufted cover in red and pink checks, adding a warm, bold, and contemporary touch. Note for purists: The original brown corduroy cover shows too much wear to be installed (the fabric is very fragile), but it will be carefully provided with the chair if you wish to use it as a pattern for future bespoke creation. Ready to be installed, this unique chair is ideal for energising a living room, a bedroom, or adding a vintage and colourful touch to a reading nook.
