We love this superb large Quimper earthenware pitcher, signed Henriot, decorated with the vibrant "Ajonc" design: a luminous yellow background enhanced with stylized flowers (heather, broom, gorse) in green, black and burgundy tones, with a very graphic speckled black handle. This model, stamped "HENRIOT QUIMPER" in capitals and numbered 100, is an authentic production from the 1930s to 1950s, recognizable by its old shape and its bold design typical of this period. The number "5" molded in hollow under the base corresponds to a workshop number. Since 1690, this emblematic manufacturer has been handcrafting pieces that tell the story of Brittany, between tradition and artistic audacity. A rare piece to come across today, especially in this condition and this bright color despite the chips on the rim and on its base linked to use and the patina of time (see photos). Height 21 cm, diameter at widest point 12.5 cm. A ray of sunshine straight from Quimper. Rare and 100% Breton!.
