Pair of gilt bronze candlesticks by Cailleux - Barbedienne

Superb pair of gilt bronze candlesticks in the Neo-Greek style, signed by the French sculptor Henri Cailleux (1854-1925) and cast by the renowned Ferdinand Barbedienne foundry. Circa 1900. The candlesticks feature rich ornamentation, typical of the Neo-Greek style, with motifs of acanthus leaves, florets, vine leaves, and sculpted heads. The pieces are signed and bear the foundry mark. Dimensions: Height: 23.5 cm. Triangular base: 10.5 cm per side. The pair is in very good condition and will be shipped in appropriate packaging.
