Black lacquered wood (ebonised) single-door wardrobe with: A very characteristic curved pediment in the shape of a gendarme's hat, featuring multiple layered mouldings. A large bevelled mirror in a full arch (rounded at the top) Discreet turned feet. A lock with a period red tassel. Interior: fixed shelves. Ebonised wood (probably oak or beech lacquered black) Napoleon III / Second Empire style. French production of bourgeois quality. Estimated period: 1860–1890.
