Rare rotating child’s chair in Louis XVI style, made of stained beech and featuring exquisite cabinetmaking. The trapezoidal backrest, finely shaped and moulded, is upholstered with tight caning, which is also found on the swivelling seat. The sculpted armrests rest on elegantly fluted legs, in harmony with the tapered and fluted feet. These are connected by an X-shaped stretcher, ensuring stability and visual balance. The whole piece is appealing due to the quality of its execution, the finesse of its proportions, and the timeless charm of its rotating mechanism, which is rare in a child’s model. An authentic and decorative piece, reflecting neoclassical taste and French craftsmanship. Period: 1900. Excellent condition after restoration in our cabinetmaking workshop. Waxed finish. Width: 43 cm Depth: 43 cm Height: 114 cm. Reference 503V.
