Biography according to wikipedia: victor vic-daumas, pseudonym of victor joseph daumas, born in marseille on july 24, 1909 and died in ivry-sur-seine on november 25, 2002, is a french painter and medalist. Victor daumas was born in marseille in 1909. He moved to paris in 1954, then to vitry-sur-seine. Painter and medalist, he followed an artistic training at the école des beaux-arts in paris. He became a drawing teacher in marseille in 1935. He founded with other artists the société d'art occitan. He worked for the administration of the paris mint. He also distinguished himself in jewelry design. His work is punctuated by various subjects: santons, the houses of famous men, the forest, before moving towards a non-figurative style. Numerous exhibitions in france and abroad have been organized around his work. The amicale des amateurs d'arts and the salon du dix au quinze vic-daumas proposed to the board of directors of the co-ownership at 172, rue gabriel péri in vitry-sur-seine to organize art initiation meetings. Welcomed enthusiastically by this board, about twenty people responded to its call on february 17, 1966. They met once a month, their meetings being preceded by a guided tour of a museum or major exhibition. Subsequently, this group, which had grown, emigrated to paris. There, the chronology of art continued with parisian contributions. In 1971, an annual competition was created with free exhibitions in parisian galleries as prizes. As a salon became necessary to accommodate the aaa's many artists, a slot was secured at the town hall of the 4th arrondissement of paris, and the salon du dix au quinze was born in 1974. At the same time, a poetry competition was created.
