Superb armchair in Haute Époque (Neo-Renaissance) style, made of richly hand-carved solid wood, ideal for lovers of character furniture and restoration projects. This ceremonial armchair is distinguished by a high back topped with a carved pediment featuring scrolls and floral motifs, framed by turned column-like supports. The armrests, also carved with leafy patterns, rest on sinuous and robust consoles. Height: 134 cm. Seat height: 54 cm. Width: 62.4 cm. Depth: 56 cm. Features: - Material: Solid wood structure, original upholstery and covering in jacquard fabric with leafy, floral, and fruit patterns. - Details: Original decorative upholstery tacks. A red and gold embroidered table runner with fringes has been added to the backrest and seat to protect or conceal historical wear. Aesthetic condition: The wooden structure is sound, stable, and very solid, reflecting high-quality cabinetmaking. The original upholstery shows significant signs of wear, including tears, worn areas, and missing sections on the front of the seat and the backrest (visible in the detailed photos). Restoring the fabric or applying a new covering will restore its former glory.
