Glazed stoneware cache-pot signed Accolay, featuring stunning drips of petrol blue, deep turquoise, and glossy black. The generous shape with a wide rolled neck gives it a very sculptural, almost architectural presence, typical of French productions from the 1950s to 1970s. The glaze is particularly successful, with long vertical drips and changing shades depending on the light, ranging from lagoon blue to metallic black-brown. Accolay signature embossed under the base. The pottery of Accolay, in Burgundy, has become one of the most sought-after French workshops for its deep glazes and modernist shapes from the post-war period. In beautiful vintage condition, with a few discreet signs of indoor use consistent with the age of the piece (see photos). Height 17 cm, diameter 20.5 cm.
