Oriental Shiraz wool rug entirely handmade

Persian rugs made from local wool. Natural materials are worked to achieve a knot density of approximately 80, 000 to 160, 000 knots per square meter. The carpets mainly come from nomadic production. In the region surrounding the city live the ghashghai nomads, whose tradition of carpet knotting dates back a very long time. The carpets they make are sold under the name shiras (shiraz) in the city's markets. Oriental wool rug entirely handmade: 209×152cm.
