Flame Mahogany Writing Desk – Louis-Philippe Period, 19th Century. Elegant writing desk from the Louis-Philippe period in flame mahogany, featuring a remarkable symmetrical grain decoration across the entire front. It opens with a top drawer topped with a black marble surface, revealing a spacious drop-down front that uncovers a refined interior in mottled maple, including several small drawers and storage compartments. The lower part consists of three large front drawers. The locks are present. The drop-down front is fitted with old black leather. The piece rests on characteristic ball feet of the period. The quality of the veneer, the richness of the grain, and the contrast between the flame mahogany exterior and the light mottled maple interior give this writing desk a particular elegance. Dimensions: Height: 143 cm. Width: 98 cm. Depth: 40 cm. Period: Louis-Philippe, mid-19th century. The piece is in generally good condition, showing slight signs of use compatible with its age. A decorative and functional piece, ideal for a classic, bourgeois, or contemporary interior.
