“Domino” record cabinet designed by Arne Wahl Iversen in 1961. Made of teak, it features a drop-down door, an internal compartment with vertical dividers and an open lower shelf. Teak record cabinet from the “Domino” series, designed by Danish designer Arne Wahl Iversen and documented in the 1961 catalogue. The compact structure is organized on two levels, with an enclosed compartment in the upper section and an open shelf below. The large drop-down door, characterized by the two carved circular pulls typical of the series, opens to form a horizontal surface in front of the internal compartment. The interior is organized with a series of vertical dividers designed for storing records, a feature that identifies the specific function of the cabinet. The open lower shelf visually lightens the façade, while the side panels extend downwards to form the distinctive open side bases. The model belongs to Wahl Iversen’s exploration of modular storage furniture, in which the geometric clarity of the structure is combined with highly recognizable wooden details. In the “Domino”, the carved pulls, continuous teak surfaces and integration between the cabinet body and its supports define a restrained design with a strong and distinctive identity. Good condition. It may show signs of age. Please pay attention to the photographs. AG508.
