Large vintage ceramic lamp Scheurich Germany

A stunning iconic piece of mid-century design, this floor lamp was produced in Germany by the renowned manufacturer Scheurich. The base is made of ceramic: a charming raw work of art, the body of the lamp features a generous amphora shape with a side handle. It is distinguished by its characteristic textured glaze from the "Fat Lava" era, playing with organic shades of beige, cream, and speckled brown. The underside of the lamp is stamped Scheurich Germany. It is topped with a large original conical lampshade in textured beige weaving, which diffuses a soft, warm, and muted light. Its slender format creates a pleasant and elegant contrast with the roundness of the ceramic. Made in Germany, this piece showcases the prolific craftsmanship of the 1960s-1970s.
