Persian carpet Ghoum silk 100% - 100x143cm

Fully hand-knotted, 100% silk, vegetable dyes, size: 100cmx143cm. Ghoum carpet is a type of carpet produced in iran in the ghoum region. The first trades appeared in 1930, at the initiative of merchants from keshan. Despite their recent manufacture, they have imposed themselves by the perfection of their technique and the variety of their drawings. The classic motifs are boteh, gardens and zil-e sultan. We also find the flowers on plain background characteristic of isfahan carpets and the central medallion of keshan carpets. Ghoum's carpet has a very colorful appearance, with the white and ivory of the background bringing out the multicolored patterns.
