Industrial chair by Joseph Mathieu

Rare Multipl's chair by Joseph Mathieu from around 1950, magnificent red patina. MULTIPL'S was the first brand to manufacture industrial and stackable chairs as early as 1925; unlike Tolix, the legs are concave. It was created by engineer Joseph Mathieu in 1922 and published by the MULTIPL'S establishments in Pierre-Bénite in the Rhône. It could be seen in Paris in the best brasseries, at the Vichy thermal spa, or at the Palm Beach in Cannes. Seat height 46 cm.
