Typical Empire style bed (1800-1830) — symmetrical gondola shape. Solid mahogany — dark and noble wood, very characteristic of the Napoleonic era. Gilded bronze mounts: laurel garland with central rosette — fine and authentic craftsmanship. Elegant inward-curving volute sides. Console feet characteristic of the Empire style. Size: single bed (80 cm) — children's bed or daybed. Condition of the wood: some visible scratches but a beautiful and consistent patina.
