Osvaldo Borsani for Tecno ‘T96’ executive corner desk in black lacquered wood
Designed in 1956 and produced in 1958, the T96 Executive Desk by Osvaldo Borsani is one of the most innovative office furniture designs of the mid-century period. Originally created for the ENI headquarters in San Donato Milanese, the desk features a distinctive boomerang-shaped top, rotating drawer units, interchangeable cabinets, and a removable magnetic leather writing surface. Fully restored and refinished, it remains a rare collector's piece that perfectly balances sculptural beauty and practical functionality. The black lacquered wood gives the desk its distinctive appearance, and the desk is supported by tripod legs. The drawers are attached to the legs with a swivel function, allowing the user to adjust their position. The large drawer unit has an extra support leg. The cabinets are interchangeable. The desk has been fully restored by experienced craftsmen and repainted with high-quality, durable lacquer to prevent scratches, ensuring every component retains its value and is ready for many years to come.
