Set of 6 Cesca B32 chairs by Marcel Breuer from the 1970s. Made in France, in steel, wood, and caning. A major figure of the Bauhaus, Breuer experimented early with bent steel tubing to create lightweight, rational, and durable furniture. Having worked with Gropius, he developed a functional and stripped-down aesthetic, which became one of the languages of international modernism. Designed in the late 1920s, the B32 — later nicknamed “Cesca” (for Francesca, Breuer's daughter) — is a cantilever chair with no rear legs: a continuous chrome tube supports a wooden frame (beech/boulevard) and a seat/backrest in caning. A unique combination of flexibility (the light “spring” of the cantilever), comfort, and timeless design. Initially produced by Thonet, it was widely distributed in the 1960s (Gavina then Knoll), and has become an absolute classic. In a set of 6, it is a coherent and highly sought-after ensemble for dining rooms or professional spaces, easy to pair with both contemporary and vintage styles. Dimensions: Height 82 cm, seat height 46 cm, width 47 cm, depth 52 cm.
