Victorian writing desk or console from 1880 in satin wood and marble.

We are delighted to offer for sale this absolutely charming writing console made of light satin wood with two drawers and a sturdy marble top. An attractive and well-crafted piece, the wooden frame dates from the late Victorian era with a splendid grain; the wood truly shines under the right light. The top is solid, tapered at the front and sides. Lightly cleaned, waxed, and polished. The marble top has a slight grey mark in the back right corner, origin unknown. Dimensions: Height 76 cm, Width 122 cm, Depth 57 cm. Wear consistent with age and use, slight discolouration.
