Antique framed and signed cat print by Pépe, 1920

Antique linocut of a small tabby cat lying down signed by the animal artist Pépe and dated 1937. The frame is made of raw wood and is an old canvas stretcher from the same period as the engraving. The former owner noted the history of this work on the back, it was in the room of his grandmother "Buffard" in Rambouillet, a small town near Paris and inherited it when she died in 1961. He also specifies that the artist Pépe is listed in the auction room. The whole is charming, the little cat very well done, its gaze is touching like that of cats who want to play and show you their simple love. Ideal in a child's room. Frame: 35/27 cm Subject: 20/15.5 cm Weight: 400gr.
