Napoleon III marquetry commode – Marble top – Gilded bronzes. A superb Napoleon III style commode made of precious wood, richly inlaid and adorned with finely chiselled gilded bronzes. The front features an elegant floral marquetry design depicting a flower basket, framed by geometric veneers in warm tones. It rests on curved feet and is topped with a beautiful veined marble top, perfectly suited for everyday use while maintaining its decorative character. The bronzes (friezes, lock entries, feet, ornaments) are finely crafted and add great elegance to the whole piece. Period: late 19th century (Napoleon III style). Materials: inlaid wood, gilded bronze, marble. Condition: very good overall condition, attractive appearance. A small restoration has been carried out on the right side. Dimensions: h88 X 120 X 52cm. This commode is ideal for a classic, Haussmannian, or eclectic interior and will fit well in a bedroom, living room, or hallway.
